This is the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting ILT (instructor lead training) course. This beginner level class teaches the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude for safe gun handling, maintenance, and shooting based on NRA national standards. The NRA rules for safe gun handling and fundamentals of pistol shooting will be referenced throughout the course. The course fee includes all targets, class materials, and the “Basics of Pistol Shooting” guide published by the NRA. There is a range portion and a qualification table.
Basics of Pistol Shooting is also a prerequisite for those who want to achieve their NRA Pistol Instructor certification. Prerequisites: none. Course

In this NRA Range Safety Officer course we will explain the procedure for becoming an NRA Safety Officer, explain the goal of the NRA Range Safety Officer Course and understand the NRA’s Range Safety Officer Course goal. The course includes the RSO student guide book.

This is the NRA First Steps Pistol Orientation course. This course is identical to basic pistol but without a range portion (therefore your certificate will be different). This beginner level class teaches the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude for safe gun handling, maintenance, and shooting based on NRA national standards. The NRA rules for safe gun handling and fundamentals of pistol shooting will be referenced throughout the course. The course fee ($100.00) includes all class materials, and the “Basics of Pistol Shooting” guide published by the NRA.
You can take First Steps Pistol before Basics of Pistol Shooting to get a full understanding of pistol shooting. Prerequisites: none.
